Program Description

This program is designed for students transferring to a four-year college or university to complete a degree in聽physical education, health education, or coaching. Study in Physical Education serves as a preparation for careers such as: teacher of health and physical education, recreation director, private fitness center administration, and personal trainer/coach.

General Information

All physical education classes are co-ed unless聽otherwise stated in the course description and/or Schedule of Classes.聽The dress for 吃瓜头条 Physical Education activities classes is聽dependent upon the nature of activity; students will be advised of proper聽dress at time of orientation.

Staff members of Kinesiology, Health & Physical Fitness will screen all students聽participating in physical activity classes who show a medical problem聽which may adversely affect their participation. Students so identified will be聽required to obtain a physician鈥檚 clearance. When appropriate, screening聽may be achieved through the Disabled Student Services Office. Students聽who lead a sedentary lifestyle or who have a history of heart disease or聽other medical conditions should check with their physician before starting聽any exercise program.

Students are advised to use caution when participating in physical activity聽classes. Strains, pulls, and similar injuries may be caused by improper use聽of equipment, or failure to follow directions of instructors.
